You can’t beat a seaside variety show and where better to see one than in a theatre on a pier? That’s exactly what you get with the Cromer Pier Summer Show!
Where is Cromer Pier and how do you get there?
Cromer Pier is located right in the heart of the seaside town of Cromer, Norfolk, and is home to the Pavilion Theatre. The full address is:
Cromer Pier Pavilion Theatre
The Esplanade
Cromer
Norfolk
NR27 9HE
If you’re travelling by car, Cromer is well signposted from the A140 and A149. There are several car parks within walking distance of the pier. We usually use the Meadow car park (NR27 9EE), which is only a short stroll away and the prices are reasonable.
If you’re coming by train, Cromer Railway Station is about a 10-minute walk from the pier. There are regular services from Norwich, and it’s an easy journey if you’re visiting from elsewhere in Norfolk or Suffolk.
There are also local bus services that stop in the town centre, and it’s a short walk down to the seafront from there.

When is the Cromer Pier Summer Show?
The show runs throughout the summer months, making it a brilliant option for holidaymakers and locals alike. In 2025, the Cromer Pier Summer Show runs from 28th June to 20th September.
There are both matinee and evening performances across the week, so it’s easy to find a time that works for your visit. We prefer a matinee show, because the times work better for us as a family. If you have younger children going to see the show, this is ideal for dinner time or bed time.
How much are tickets?
Ticket prices start from around £25 per person, depending on the day and seat location. There are concessions available for children, families, carers and groups, so it’s worth checking the website before you book.

How long is the show?
The Cromer Pier Summer Show runs for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a short interval.

Guest performers
Over the course of the summer, the Cromer Pier Summer Show has a range of guest performers. This might affect which show you choose to see. Here’s the list and dates:
Paul Zenon’s award-winning magic (28 June – 19 July)
Norfolk’s juggling sensation Tommy J (22 July – 9 August)
Comedy ventriloquist Steve Hewlett (12 – 30 August)
Lovable Welsh comedian David Arnold (2 – 20 September)
What to expect from the show
The show itself is a lively mix of singing, dancing, comedy, and speciality acts, all stitched together into two high-energy halves. This year’s host is Ben Nickless, and from the moment he stepped on stage, he had the audience in stitches. His impressions were spot on, and he brought loads of warmth and fun to the whole evening.
There’s a real mix of music too, from classic show tunes to more modern numbers, and the dancers were absolutely brilliant. The choreography is fast-paced and full of flair, with loads of clever costume changes and some real wow moments. There’s so much to look at one the stage!
Of course, the dancers are joined by some fantastic singers, and this year they are Kristel Herrera and Joshua Mumby. Both had great voices, and the songs worked really well for them. A stand out for me was a version of Defying Gravity, which gave me goosebumps!
We saw the show when Tommy J was the guest act and we loved him. It was nice to see a younger act and someone a bit silly and goofy. We loved his comedy and juggling tricks, and was something we hadn’t seen before.
Is the Cromer Pier Summer Show family-friendly?
Yes! We took our 9 year old daughter along and she had a brilliant time. While some of the jokes are clearly aimed at the grown-ups, there’s nothing too inappropriate, and the pace of the show means there’s always something new to catch their attention.
Younger kids will enjoy the visual comedy and dancing, while older children and teens will appreciate the live performances and upbeat routines. There’s a real warmth to the whole show that makes you feel welcome, no matter your age.

Final thoughts
We absolutely loved our time at the Cromer Pier Summer Show. The mix of live music, dance, comedy and stunning visuals makes for a really entertaining show, and the location adds something truly special.
If you’re heading to the North Norfolk coast this summer, this show should definitely be on your list. It’s the perfect blend of traditional seaside charm and modern stage magic.
