Nerf Training Camp: What can you expect from the activity?
Nerf Training Camp is one of Haven’s most action-packed activities and it’s perfect for kids who love fast-paced games, working as a team, and a bit of friendly competition. If your child enjoys anything like tag, laser quest or paintball (minus the paint!), this is a brilliant option.
Sessions cost around £10 and usually last 45 minutes. They’re run by Haven’s activities team, who are fantastic at making the games fun, safe, and inclusive. You’ll check in with them at the activity zone before the session starts and there may be a short safety form to fill in, as with most activities.
Before the action begins, every child is kitted out with a Nerf blaster, foam darts, and protective goggles. There’s a short briefing so the kids understand how to use the equipment safely and what sort of games they’ll be playing.
The arena is set up with inflatable barriers and hiding spots, just like a mini battle zone! The kids are usually split into two teams and take part in different games, from simple target shooting to trying to score goals on the opposite side.

The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with lots of running around, ducking for cover, and laughing. The staff keep things well organised and fair, and they’re brilliant at making sure everyone gets involved. Even if kids are a bit shy to start with, it’s easy to get into the game once it’s started.
This is a great way for kids to make new friends and burn off some energy, and many come out of it asking to do it again later in the week. It’s best for ages 6 and up, and younger ones may find it a bit full-on, so check with the park for age recommendations.
As with other popular activities, it’s a good idea to pre-book using the Haven app or website ahead of your break.
