Britannia Pier is famous for hosting some amazing shows. During one of our visits we enjoyed an exciting family-friendly wrestling show at the Britannia Pier Theatre but there’s so much on offer. Comedians such as Jimmy Carr can regularly be seen here, as well as some of the most recognisable tribute bands and rock bands. There’s always something going on so have a look and see what you might like to see. 

2. Enjoy fish and chips for lunch

No trip to the British seaside is complete without indulging in some classic fish and chips, and Britannia Pier offers plenty of spots to satisfy your craving. As you stroll along the pier, you’ll find a range of eateries, from sit-down restaurants where you can relax with a full meal to convenient take-away counters perfect for grabbing something quick. There’s nothing quite like enjoying crispy, golden fish and chips with the salty sea breeze in your hair and the sound of the waves in the background. Whether you prefer dining in or taking your meal to-go for a picnic on the beach, this seaside staple is a must-try during your day out at the pier.

Take a leisurely stroll along the pier, enjoy the sea air and soak in the beautiful views of the North Sea. Great Yarmouth beach goes on for miles and miles and it’s a beautiful sight, especially in summer.

Personally, I could spend hours at the 2p machines, watching the coins get close to the edge and hoping for a big win—though, of course, there’s always the risk of running out of coins first! These stalls offer a bit of friendly competition and are a great way to add some excitement to your visit.

For a quick pick-me-up as you explore Britannia Pier, be sure to stop by one of the many snack bars dotted along the way. These stalls offer all the traditional seaside treats you could want, from creamy ice cream cones to fluffy candy floss. Our personal favorite is the hot, freshly made doughnuts—perfectly warm and dusted with sugar, they’re an irresistible treat that you’ll find right at the start of the pier. Whether you’re craving something sweet or savory, the snack bars have plenty of options to keep you fueled and ready for more fun.
